Detoxing

Some people wonder what's all the fuss about?

I mean really why should I detox?  My body does alright.  I go to the bathroom at least once a day.

And the amount of water I drink is a couple of glasses, but I prefer to drink pop or coffee as they have more flavour.

Sound familiar?

Your not alone.  Many Canadians feel the same way.

It is a running joke about our seniors getting old as they have the disgusting habit of talking about their poop.

Well, the elders have it right.  As we age our body functions change, that's no big secret.  As the bowels slow down there is a greater chance of toxins being trapped in the colon and not being released.  As this layer of fecal material starts to layer in the colon, we absorb less nutrients from our food and we can start feeling sluggish and tired.

The more fibre we eat creates a broom like action to sweep out the colon.  Essential fatty acids and drinking good water helps to keep everything moving.

If you have ever held a baby during feeding time, nine times out of ten you may have experienced them having a poopy diaper.  We adults should be the same, not the diaper part but having our bowels move every time we eat.

Colon therapists say if our bowels do not move at least once a day were constipated.  And they also get into the texture, shape, and aroma; but that is beyond the scope of this topic.

This page is to share the values of detoxing.

There are almost as many detox programs as there are candy life-savers.  You just have to know where to start.

Hulga Clark suggests people start with a parasite cleanse, then move on to a kidney and liver cleanse.

The Renew Life company suggests a 5 step program: general body, (liver, kidney, skin, colon) parasites, candida, liver, and heavy metal.  Sure, you can get kits from the drug store or health food store and they can do a good job.  It is just that some clients  don't like taking all the pills and or liquids.

Doing a detox is like giving your car a tune-up, you get rid of some of the sludge build-up and then the car runs better.  Your body deserves the best octane fuel it can get.

"When you take a closer look, all diseases have a critical component of environmental toxins and nutritional deficiencies both of which are completely reversible."

A footbath is an external method that helps to detoxify every organ, tissue, and cell in our body directly and indirectly by re-energizing the natural waste elimination and detoxification function of the immune system and it's supporting organs.

The number of recommended sessions is up to the individual.  It is suggested that the client under 50 can do the bath up to three (3) times a week.  The client over 50 can do the bath twice (2) times a week.

Or some clients find more convenient is to schedule weekly sessions over the course of eight weeks.
